Premium Priority
Water Test
The Premium Priority Water
Test is a comprehensive water
test that tests for those contaminants most often cited as related to health-related issues. In addition to a
bacteria test, the Premium Priority Water
Test also includes
testing for a battery of inorganic chemicals, violate organic compounds, PCBs and pesticides, including
nitrates, lead, mercury, MTBE, arsenic, benzene, THMs, DDT, and many more.
These
parameters are the same that we test for in our original Priority Water Test, plus an additional set that some
customers are concerned about. The Additional Contaminants are contained in the Inorganic Chemicals and Toxic
Metals & Heavy Metals section below.
We test for 189 targeted contaminants.
"BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE"...
...If the
volatile organic testing performed on our mass spectrometer identifies the spectra of
what are called ‘non-targeted’ compounds, we then conduct a search for the next 50 un-targeted
compounds if they are present. We do this by matching the non-targeted spectra against a database of about
250,000 compounds published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)1.
That means
our Premium Priority Water Test evaluates your drinking water for 189 targeted contaminants + a library search for up to 50 additional
non-targeted contaminants...
...a total
of 239
contaminants!
All from one cost-effective water
test.
The only difference between our on-line test and State or County
certified testing is that these programs require that laboratory personnel physically collect the sample from
the facility being tested. That's it!

The fully-evaluated, most widely used mass spectral reference library. Compiled
by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
Summary: The NIST 11 mass spectral database, the successor
to the NIST 08, is a fully evaluated collection of electron ionization (EI) mass spectra. It also contains a
growing set of MS/MS spectra and GC data. It is the product of more than two decade, comprehensive evaluation and
expansion of the world's most widely used mass spectral reference library by a team of experienced mass
spectrometrists in which each spectrum was examined for correctness.
